About In Motion
In Motion Music Academy grew from a simple idea: making music education more accessible and enjoyable for families.
My name is Gustavo, and I’ve been teaching music for several years, working with students of different ages and backgrounds. Over time, I began to notice that many families were looking for something a little different — lessons that were flexible, personal, and easier to fit into busy weekly routines.
As more students joined, the demand grew, and it became clear that this could become something bigger than just my own teaching. In Motion was created to bring together a small team of dedicated music tutors who share the same approach and passion for teaching.
Today, we offer lessons across a wider range of instruments with more teachers, while keeping the same values that started it all: a genuine love for music and a belief that learning should be supportive, enjoyable, and inspiring.
Why In-Home music lessons?
For many families, travelling to music lessons can be difficult to fit into the week. Between school, homework, sports, and other commitments, adding another journey across town can quickly become overwhelming.
In-home lessons make learning music far more convenient. Students learn in a familiar environment where they feel relaxed, which often helps them focus and progress more naturally. Parents also save valuable time by not having to travel to and from lessons.
Another benefit is that lessons become part of the home routine. When an instrument is already in the house and learning happens there, students are often more likely to practise and stay engaged with their progress.
Our Mission
We believe music education should combine strong foundations with creativity and enjoyment. While technique and musical skills are important, it’s equally important that students feel motivated and confident as they learn.
Our tutors work to create lessons that are encouraging, structured, and adapted to each student’s pace. Every child learns differently, and good teaching recognises that.
At the heart of everything we do is a shared love for music. It’s what brought us to teaching in the first place, and it’s what we hope every student experiences as they begin their musical journey.
